Information Resource Acquisition Proposal Service
This service enables faculty, staff, and students to propose purchasing information resources that are needed for teaching, learning, or research but are not currently available in the library. Before proposing, users are encouraged to check the availability of the resource in the library’s system at opac.psu.ac.th.
Steps to Propose a Textbook or Information Resource
- Access the Resource Proposal Form and click Log In at the top-right corner.
- Enter your username and password using your PSU Passport for authentication and to receive notifications when the requested item arrives.
- Select the Patron menu from the top navigation bar.
- On the right-hand menu, click Request Book.
- Complete the form by entering details such as ISBN, title, author, and other relevant information.
- Provide the reason for the request in the Reason field.
Library Actions After Submission
- The library will send all proposed purchases to the respective faculties/departments during the first week of the following month for administrative review and approval.
- Faculties/departments must return approved proposals to Suda Phanthusa in the Information System Development Division via email at suda.p@psu.ac.th or call 0-7428-2369.
Note:
- Proposals for textbooks can be submitted between December 2022 and July 31, 2023.
- Once the library acquires the requested item, the proposer will be notified via email through the library’s automated system.
